There is nothing worse than waiting on a battery to charge, especially when you have work to get done.
Bosch fixed that problem.
The Bosch EXAL18V-160 EXPERT 18V Turbo Charger uses a powerful 16-amp charging current to get compatible batteries back to work quickly. It can fully charge a depleted EXBA18V-80 8Ah battery in as little as 39 minutes, helping reduce downtime between jobs.
Fast Without Forgetting Battery Health
Fast charging is great, but controlling heat is an important factor that you often don’t think about. Bosch’s Active Air Cooling 2.0 helps manage battery temperature while charging. FlexTemp technology allows compatible EXPERT batteries to begin charging across a battery-temperature range of 14°F to 131°F.
That makes this charger useful in cold garages, hot shops and changing jobsite conditions.
Three Charging Modes
An integrated button lets you choose between three charging modes:
- Standard Mode: The default setting for everyday charging.
- Power Boost Mode: Prioritizes the shortest possible charging time.
- Long Life Mode: Provides a gentler full charge to help extend battery life.
A five-LED indicator shows the battery’s charging progress, so you can quickly see when it is ready.
Who Needs This Charger?
This charger makes the most sense for contractors, tradespeople and shop owners who run Bosch 18V tools throughout the day. If you regularly drain your batteries with saws, grinders, rotary hammers or other demanding tools, faster charging can keep your work moving.
Homeowners with several Bosch 18V tools can benefit, too, especially when a dead battery is holding up your project.
Compatible Bosch Batteries
The EXAL18V-160 works with the Bosch Professional 18V System and compatible AMPShare batteries.
Here are four Bosch options to consider:
- Bosch EXPERT EXBA18V-40 18V 4Ah High Power Battery — A compact tabless battery for users who want power without unnecessary weight.
