Milwaukee’s New M18 Pole Saw Makes Tree Work Easier

Milwaukee’s New M18 Pole Saw Makes Tree Work Easier

Trimming branches is one of those jobs that always takes longer than expected. You pull out the saw, fight with the gas engine and spend half the afternoon cutting limbs that should have been gone months ago.

Milwaukee’s new M18 QUIK-LOK Brushless Pole Saw is designed to make that job much easier.

This cordless pole saw gives you 7 feet of reach for pruning overhead branches and clearing limbs around your yard or property. It is useful for trimming trees along driveways, removing branches hanging over fences and cleaning up damaged limbs after a storm.

For landscapers and property maintenance crews, it can also save valuable time when jumping between pruning jobs. There is no gas engine to start, and its instant throttle response lets you begin cutting as soon as you pull the trigger.

Power That Keeps Cutting

Milwaukee says the brushless motor delivers more power than 27cc gas powerheads. More importantly, it is designed to maintain its cutting speed under heavier loads without bogging down.

The 10-inch cutting system operates at 4,600 RPM to provide fast, controlled performance when removing limbs. It uses a 3/8-inch low-profile pitch and .043-inch gauge chain.

That combination makes the pole saw practical for homeowners with several trees, landscapers, grounds crews and anyone responsible for maintaining a larger property.

Features That Save Time

This pole saw is about more than cutting power. Several features are designed to make pruning faster and easier:

  1. Seven feet of reach: Helps you reach overhead branches without constantly repositioning the tool.
  2. Balanced design: The motor is positioned at the rear to improve control and reduce fatigue during longer trimming jobs.
  3. Variable-speed trigger: Gives you greater control when starting a cut or working around smaller branches.
  4. Automatic bar oiler: Keeps the chain lubricated while you work, eliminating the need to stop and oil it manually between cuts.
  5. Translucent oil reservoir: Makes it easy to check the oil level before and during the job.
  6. Brushless motor: Delivers strong cutting performance while maintaining speed in demanding applications.
  7. Split-boom design: Allows the pole saw to be separated into two components for easier transport and storage.

One Power Head, More Possibilities

The biggest time-saving feature may be the QUIK-LOK system. The pole saw consists of an M18 QUIK-LOK Brushless Power Head and a compatible pole saw attachment.

When another job comes up, you can remove the pole saw attachment and connect another QUIK-LOK attachment to the same power head. Instead of maintaining several complete outdoor power tools, you can use one power head for multiple applications.

It is also compatible with the M18 battery system, which includes more than 300 solutions. If you already own M18 batteries and chargers, adding this pole saw to your outdoor equipment lineup makes even more sense. Just remember that the battery is not included.

The Milwaukee M18 QUIK-LOK Brushless Pole Saw gives you the reach, cutting power and versatility to handle routine pruning without turning it into an all-day project. If your trees are overdue for a cleanup, this could be the tool that finally gets the job done.
