The Makita 36 Volt LXT® Cordless Chain Saw Kit is precisely engineered for landscapers and contractors who are looking for cordless alternatives to gas-powered outdoor power equipment for cutting and trimming applications. The kit includes 18 Volt X2 (36 Volt) LXT® brushless chain saw (XCU04Z), 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion dual port charger (DC18RD), 16" guide bar (E-00094), 16" saw chain (3/8" LP, 0.043") (E-00240) and four 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion 5.0 Ah batteries (BL1850B). The chain saw assures zero emissions, minimal noise, and considerably minimal maintenance. The tool is powered by two 18 Volt LXT® batteries for superior power, speed, and run time. The kit has an outer rotor brushless motor with direct drive system, which assures high power efficiency and is equivalent to a conventional gas chain saw. The 16" guide bar and the Makita built outer rotor BL brushless direct drive system motor with variable speed delivers 0 to 3940 FPM for enhanced cutting performance. The tool requires no engine oil change, no spark plug replacement, and no air filter or muffler cleaning. Tool-less chain adjustment assures superior operator convenience. A front hand guard is engineered to actuate chain brake when engaged and an electric brake for increased productivity. This 18 Volt battery guarantees the fastest charge time, ensuring users get back on the worksite quicker. This chain saw features Star Protection Computer Controls™ communication technology, which facilitates tool and battery to exchange data in real time. The Star Protection technology also monitors conditions while in use to safeguard against overloading, over discharging, and overheating.
