This is a masterfully machined water pump and the one thing you cannot do is run it dry for more than 30 seconds. Therefore, when you clearly have emptied a float chamber or it was dry, to begin with, put the pump nozzle back in the water and re-prime briefly to cool it off.

Well, you can stop imagining it because it is possible with the Turbo Float Pump! When attached to a properly sized cordless drill (sold separately), the Turbo Float Pump makes short work of algae and debris in the float tubes and then finishes by removing any remaining water. And all this at over 5 gallons a minute! The Filter is designed to stop invasive species as small as 20 microns from exiting the pump and invading new waterways.
