The Tormek SQ-90 Tormek Square is a compact precision tool designed to support accurate setup, alignment, and angle checking during sharpening operations. Fully cast from zinc, the square provides durability and dimensional stability for repeatable workshop use. It helps verify that chisels and other square-edge tools are sharpened to exactly 90°, while its straight reference edge can be used to check the trueness of a grindstone. The SQ-90 also provides a convenient reference when preparing sharpening jigs and aligning operations, including setup work for the SVD-186 R Gouge Jig and SE-77 Square Edge Jig. Five integrated V-shaped grooves provide approximate angle references at 25°, 30°, 35°, 40°, and 45°, supporting quick angle checks for different tools. Compatible with all Tormek sharpening systems, the SQ-90 is useful for professional workshops, sharpening stations, and DIY users who require reliable setup control.
