Are these saws stuck in the straight of Hormuz or what the heck is going on?

I preordered this saw back in May 2026. It’s now September 2 and I still don’t have it! I feel like I’m getting taken advantage of.

I've had Bosch 10" slide dual compound 120AC saw for almost 20 years. Never needed anything. Purchased 18v 12" slide dual compound saw with 12 AH battery and required service just out of warranty for an issue that started while in warranty. Battery also failed. Cost me half the price of saw new for service and they sent it back missing parts. Honestly I don't get any sense of excitement with Bosch's new products. Its been a train of disappointments (other tool failures as well) for me the last year.

Bosch seems to be really bad with marketing. They have not included much of this on photos

+tool free blade changing?

+shadow line

+Variable speed

+clamps included?

+removeable miter angle finder that fits in the insert for setting the saw angle!!??

+black

+you can hit it with a 2x4

-mediocre improvement to stock dust collection (distance from the blade is still too far)

-bevel lock moved to back

-gear drive will probably wear out faster than a belt drive/replacement will be more difficult. (many Makita's have tanked reviews over the gear)

-shortest warranty in the saw type... will the replacement gear be 1/4 the price the whole saw?

the version you are talking about is made in Europe with soft start variable speed dial accessories like angle finder and their best made saw blade is designed for European users , for US you get a saw made in Thailand with no variable speed dial and no accessories, massive jerking due to lack of soft start and motor racing very badly so it looks like Bosch as usual sales quality tools in Europe and for us we get a their water down and the one they can’t sell it in Europe and finally I returned mine to Lowe’s without a any hesitation.

Very impressive indeed a lots of new features which the previous model lacked couple of observations the included saw blade is really bad I had to replace it much better results second all the videos I have watched shows motor equipped with a variable speed dial on mine there is none plus other accessories I guess complete version to European market and rock bottom version for USA that’s how Bosch treats us buyers even though they make most of their sales here in us .

if what I have researched is accurate, it looks like:

- Shadow LED cutline indicator (which i want on my next mitre saw).. a biggie for me

- Adjustable arm tension to adjust the glide feel

- Sealed bushings to keep sawdust out of moving parts

I think, but am not completely sure, that some adjustment controls that used to be in the back are now up front, but I may be wrong on that

Now only if they came out with a 10" or 12" cordless version would be sweet! The new table saw looks nice too with that black finsh and cross cut sled
