The variable-speed trigger with Hi/Lo speed-control switch allows to precisely control trimming speed. The 13 in swath ensures wide cutting area. QuickLoad™ spool allows for fast and easy line replacement of 0.080 Inch line. The gear drive transmission design powers through overgrowth. The universal attachment capability accept additional tool pieces.

Hello, Laurie. DEWALT is not selling the power unit through retailers by itself. You may want to contact a DEWALT Factory Service Center to see if they offer it as a part instead of a whole good.
