So this is a 7/8 chuck size and then I guess flex also has one with a one inch chuck size. How do I know which one I need. I do apartment maintenance and won't use the hammer drill daily .

Hi Johanna. The chuck on this unit is for SDS+ hammer drill bits. We suggest determining the size of holes you will need to drill into concrete most of the time, and purchasing a hammer drill that is best suited to that size. This kit would be perfect for holes 1/2" and under, but can do holes up to 1-1/8". If you are consistently drilling holes over 1", you will want to find a larger tool.
