Why can't I find shorter lengths of the one inch staple

Hi Edward. From what we have seen 7/8" is the shortest 1" Crown (wide crown) staple. The correct one for you will depend on the type of stapler you have. Paslode uses a PW-78, Senco, Duofast, Hitachi, Metabo HPT, Porter Cable use the SDW-78, and Bostitch has the BSW-78 staple from B and C Eagle.
