Anyone know if this would be a direct replacement for model#44m7 77 0175 g5?

Hi Joe. While both start with "44," meaning they share a 724cc V-Twin block architecture, you must verify that your 44M777-0175-G5 shaft matches the 44T977-0009-G1 1" diameter by 3-5/32" length, 1/4" keyway, and 7/16-20 tapped specifications. If the length or PTO (Power Take-Off) bearing style differs, your mower pulleys and clutch alignment may not match. Also, the 44T977 is a Commercial Series engine featuring an integrated 5-stage cyclonic air cleaner, which may take up more under-hood clearance space than a standard 44M777 Intek setup. Wiring plugs (alternator/stator) and throttle/choke controls may also require minor modifications
