When did Gearwrench stop knurling their sockets for metric and double lines for SAE?

Great question. The set I received also did not have them. The labeling looks far more cheap and nothing like what is displayed in these pictures.

I've seen similar comments and reviews on other sites where they question the authenticity of the sockets because of the unannounced change.

Hi Karl. GEARWRENCH started the manufacturing change in late 2022 through early 2023. We are told they did it to make the sockets more uniform, but we really liked having them different for identification purposes.
