If you love collecting hammers like I do, it’s time to take notice. That might sound like a super weird hobby, but you can never have “too many” hammers.
Klein just released a new hammer that caught my eye for several reasons.
A Classic Hammer with Modern Features
The hickory handle is the first thing I noticed. It gives the hammer a classic look that stands out against the steel and composite handles filling most toolboxes today. The curved, ax-style shape also feels natural in the hand and provides plenty of control.
Once I gave this thing a few swings, though, I realized this hammer offers more than a slick design.
The 16-ounce head is a practical size for general construction, repairs and weekend projects. It has enough weight to drive nails efficiently without feeling unnecessarily heavy. Its extra-large squared face gives you a generous striking area, while the smooth finish helps reduce marks when you are working around finished material.
