New Release: Everything You Need to Know About the Milwaukee 4-Gallon PACKOUT Vac

Milwaukee announced numerous products during Pipeline that will be released over the coming year, and guess what? The wait is already over.

One of the first new releases is the Milwaukee M18 FUEL 4-Gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum with PACKOUT Compatibility and VACLINK. It combines strong suction, cordless portability and a much easier way to empty the tank.

Here is what you need to know.

The vacuum’s POWERSTATE Brushless Motor and REDLINK PLUS Intelligence deliver 70 CFM and 60 inches of suction.

So you get all the muscle you need for the usual messes, but you won’t need a forklift to move it around. Sawdust, jobsite junk, your truck after a weekend at the lake, this thing handles it all.

Four gallons is enough to handle a real mess, but it’s still light enough to haul around all day.

The removable sliding tank might be the most useful feature.

Traditional PACKOUT-compatible vacuums can force you to remove the vacuum from the stack before emptying the tank. Milwaukee designed this one so the tank slides out while the vacuum stays in place.

You can dump the debris, slide the tank back in and continue working without rebuilding half your PACKOUT stack.

The vacuum connects to the PACKOUT Modular Storage System from the top, bottom and back.

This gives users more options for transporting and storing it around the jobsite. Other PACKOUT boxes can be attached above or below the vacuum, while the back connection provides another mounting option.

Milwaukee also placed the controls and other frequently used features on the outside, so they remain accessible while the vacuum is stacked.

VACLINK Wireless Dust Control allows compatible tools and vacuums to communicate with each other for remote activation.

The included VACLINK remote provides on-and-off control directly from the end of the hose. Instead of walking back to the vacuum every time you want to turn it on, you can control it from where you are working.

This can reduce wasted battery runtime and make quick cleanup jobs much more convenient.

Users can choose between max runtime and max power modes depending on the job.

When powered by an M18 REDLITHIUM FORGE HD12.0 battery, the vacuum provides:

2. Up to 32 minutes in max power mode

Max runtime mode is useful for longer cleanup jobs, while max power mode provides additional suction when dealing with heavier debris.
