A tool belt may feel fine when it is empty. Load it with fasteners, a hammer, tape measure and other everyday tools, and the problems start. Pouches sag, the belt shifts and your back feels it by lunchtime.
The RR Buildings Tool Belt was made to fix those problems.
Designed by Kyle Stumpenhorst
Kyle Stumpenhorst is the professional post-frame builder behind RR Buildings. After years of wearing different tool belts, he still couldn’t find one that fit the way he worked.
“I’ve worn just about everybody’s tool belts,” Kyle said. “Everybody’s got a good feature, but it doesn’t work perfectly for me.”
Instead of settling, Kyle developed his own. The process took about a year and a half, several rounds of feedback and multiple prototypes. The final design was built around the tools and fasteners he carries every day.
Kyle now considers it his favorite tool.
“That’s the thing you wear every day,” he said. “It’s got all your tools hanging on it all day. It’s got to be comfortable.”
Built for Full-Time Work
The belt uses a 1680D ballistic nylon shell with reinforced bar-tack stitching and riveted stress points. Its Zero-Sag design uses three hook-and-loop attachment points to keep the pouches from sliding under heavy loads.
A 6-inch padded lumbar belt supports your lower back, while breathable 3D mesh helps manage heat. The Quick-Set buckle stays locked after the initial adjustment, and side micro-adjustments help dial in the fit.
Kyle is also clear about who the belt was made for.
“It’s built for the guy out there on the site framing, building, carrying around fasteners and tools and being comfortable.”
Two Ways to Wear It
The belt comes in two configurations:
- The RR Buildings Tool Belt includes the complete belt without suspenders. It is the right choice if you prefer carrying the weight at your waist or already own compatible suspenders.
- The RR Buildings Tool Belt with Suspenders adds padded suspenders to distribute heavier loads across your shoulders.
Both options come in small, medium and large.
Is This Your Next Tool Belt?
This belt was designed for framers and builders who wear their gear throughout the workday. If you are tired of sagging pouches, shifting tools and constant adjustments, the RR Buildings Tool Belt could be the upgrade you have been looking for.
