The Strong-Point R234W is a 1/4-20 x 2-3/4 Inch flat Phillips head reamer self-drilling screw with wings, designed for attaching lumber or headers to steel and other compatible framing applications. Its #4 point supports direct penetration, while the winged design reams the hole through wood to help reduce jacking action during installation. The screw features a WAR coating designed to enhance corrosion resistance, including performance exceeding 1,000 hours of salt spray resistance, making it suitable for demanding construction environments and pressure-treated lumber applications. It is designed for use with standard screw guns equipped with a torque-limiting nose piece set up to 1,750 RPM and a #3 Phillips drive bit. The fastener meets ASTM C1513 for cold-formed steel framing connections and F.I.P.-1000.7 requirements for torsional strength and drill speed.
