The MILWAUKEE® 15‑Piece Metric Tap and Die Set is engineered to support common internal and external threading tasks with precision‑machined components and a versatile Hex‑LOK™ 2‑in‑1 Handle. The set includes straight‑flute taps and 1‑inch hex dies featuring laser‑etched sizing for clear identification and a black oxide coating to help resist corrosion. The Hex‑LOK™ 2‑in‑1 Handle is compatible with both 1‑inch hex dies and the MILWAUKEE® tap collet, enabling use across multiple threading operations with a single handle. An ergonomic grip and all‑metal construction provide balanced control, durability, and tool‑free tap and die changes during use. Plug taps feature a square shank compatible with standard tap handles and tap wrenches and are designed for through‑hole threading, while the 1‑inch hex dies fit the Hex‑LOK™ handle and standard 1‑inch hex die stocks. The set also includes drill bits for pilot drilling and is designed for use with drill drivers. These taps and dies are intended for threading common metals such as brass, aluminum, and mild steel. For best results, use with cutting fluid.
