Just drive the Milwaukee step drill bit into your piece until you reach the ring that's the correct size for your hole. A dual-flute channels your shavings away from the bit to prevent it from jamming up as you drill. This black oxide drill bit is durable even under the most heavy-duty working conditions. The shank with 3-flat Secure-Grip™ technology helps reduce slipping in the chuck. A Rapid Strike™ tip starts your hole quickly, and without wandering, to keep your hole centered and your piece free of damage. The reference marks on the Milwaukee step drill bit are laser-engraved, so you can see where you're at as you work.
