The Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty Lineman's Auger Bit is built for power utility professionals drilling large, clean holes in wooden utility poles. Its 1 Inch diameter and 18 Inch length provide substantial hole capacity and extended reach for demanding utility installation and maintenance applications. The 7/16 Inch hex shank allows quick connection to compatible 7/16 Inch quick-connect chucks, helping streamline bit changes on the jobsite. An aggressive feed screw and cutting edge pull the bit through clean wood while promoting faster drilling speeds. The single spur design scores the perimeter of the hole for a cleaner finish, allowing bolts to slide through with less resistance. Optimized wide flute geometry rapidly removes chips to help prevent clogging and maintain efficient drilling. A reinforced anti-friction PTFE coating supports smoother drilling and easier extraction from the pole. The solid-stemmed core provides additional strength for demanding work.
