The Makita 5 Inch high power angle grinder is perfect for various jobsite applications such as cutting, paint removal, shipyard maintenance, metal polishing, steel grinding and restoration work. It is useful for welders, fabricators, plumbers, electricians, stone workers and general contractors. Variable speed trigger enables the user to control the operating speed to suit a wide variety of applications. Grinder consists of a 13 Amp motor that delivers an operating speed of 10,500 RPM. SJS™ technology of the grinder safeguards the tool from any damage to the motor or gear thus ensuring durability. Soft start mechanism prevents sudden start-up to ensure minimal fling-off. The constant speed control mechanism helps in maintaining a uniform speed throughout the application. Electronic limiter prevents over-loading and burnout of the motor. Labyrinth construction of the grinder safeguards the motor and ball bearings from any dust or debris. Zig-zag varnish on the grinder acts as a barrier to prevent any damage caused by the contaminants. Side handle enables both left and right-handed users to work efficiently. Wheel guard can be adjusted without help from any tools. Large paddle switch gives operational flexibility for the user and the lock-on button ensures uninterrupted use for long periods of time. Grinder comes with a 36 grit grinding wheel, wheel guard, lock nut, lock nut wrench, inner flange and a side handle.
