The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion cordless plate joiner tool is specially designed to render portability as well as performance in the field or in the shop without the cord. It is jam packed with powerful, precise and ease of use features for strong and accurate biscuit joints. Joiner tool finds wide range of application in furniture making, cabinet construction and fine woodworking industries. The rack-and-pinion vertical fence system of this tool, is engineered for accurate fence adjustments. It has cast aluminum pivot fence with three positive stops at 0 degree, 45 degree, 90 degree and easy centering on 3/4 Inch material. Tool renders six depth settings with one-touch stops for #0, #10, #20 and for most common biscuits sizes. Joiner has large and easy-to-operate cam locks, which assist for quick angle guide and fence adjustments. The tool-less blade cover and shaft lock ensures quick and easy blade change. Non-marring rubber inserts on shoe aids in avoiding material from slipping. Slim and ergonomic tool features cast aluminum front body for longer endurance. It is fitted with large top grip handle for enhanced handling and operator comfort. Tool featured with Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time. It works well with Makita 18 Volt LXT® and compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
