The Makita 18 Volt LXT® Cordless Grass Shear with hedge trimmer blade is a compact and cordless solution for grass trimming as well as cutting applications. Users can change from grass shear to hedge trimmer for minor hedge trimming easily and quickly. The shear has dual blade action and a wide 6-5/16" cutting width, thereby delivering a faster blade speed of 2500 SPM. With fast-charging 18 Volt LXT® 5.0 Ah battery, users can expect up to 200 minutes of run time on a single charge. The 3-stage adjustment facilitates to adjust the cutting height to match the demanding application. The shear is packed with features like a rubberized soft grip handle, tool-less blade changing, and non-electrolyzed nickel-plated blades to resist staining as well as rust. The compact and maneuverable shear has 8" dual action double-sided hedge trimmer blade for precision cutting. The ergonomic and rubberized soft grip handle of shear is precisely engineered to absorb vibration for comfortable operation. This 18V battery assures the fastest charge time, getting users back on the jobsite. This grass shear features Star Protection Computer Controls™ communication technology, which facilitates tool and battery to exchange data in real time. The Star Protection technology also monitors conditions while in use to safeguard against overloading, over discharging, and overheating. Grass shear includes a grass receiver attachment (457426-1), 8" hedge trimmer blade assembly (198408-1), shear blade assembly set (195267-4), and a grass shear blade cover (452055-5).
