The Makita 18 Volt couple shaft power head tool with 13 Inch string trimmer couple shaft attachment, is a great cordless alternative to gas-powered outdoor equipment and is a welcome solution for a range of trimming and cutting applications. Power head is perfect for landscapers and contractors for most demanding applications. Head has powerful BL™ brushless motor to deliver up to 9700 RPM for faster cutting. Power head works well with a variety of Makita couple shaft attachments for various applications. The lever style lock system assists for rapid tool-less installation and replacement of attachments. High/Low speed button assists operator for easy power and run time management. Reverse (clockwise) rotation system of power head facilitates operator to clear brush cutter head of entangled grass and weeds quickly. Power head has Makita's Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™), a protective seal inside the tool. This technology increases tool life and operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components. The Star Protection Computer Controls™ technology allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions while in use to safeguard against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. Tool works with Makita 18 Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style battery. Power head assures zero emission, minimal maintenance and no requirement for gas or oil mixing.
