The 18V LXT® 2-Pc. Combo Kit (5.0Ah) (XT299T) delivers two premium brushless tools for drilling, driving, and fastening. The Kit includes two 18V LXT® 5.0Ah batteries, which are compatible with the full range of Makita tools and products. The Kit includes the 18V LXT® Quick-Shift Mode™ 4-Speed Impact Driver (XDT21), which features premium fastening power and delivers up to 1,860 in.lbs. of max torque with 4 Speed Settings. The efficient brushless motor is electronically controlled to optimize battery energy use for longer run times. The XDT21 features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 3,700 Max RPM and 1,860 in.lbs. of Max Torque. It features 4-speed power selection (0-1,100/ 0-2,100/ 0-3,200/ 0-3,700 RPM & 0-2,000/ 0-3,600/ 0-4,200/ 0-4,400 IPM) providing precise fastening control for a wide range of applications. It is engineered with a dual ball bearing chuck to reduce bit wobble and run out. The Kit also features an 18V LXT® Brushless 1/2" Hammer Driver-Drill (XPH16) which features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 970 in.lbs. of Max Torque for up to 70% more power than the previous model (Makita model XPH12) for the most demanding drilling and driving applications. It's powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It features a variable 2-speed design (0-550 & 0-1,800 RPM) (0-8,250 & 0-27,000 BPM) that covers a wide range of drilling, driving and hammer applications. It also features an all-metal ½” all-metal gear housing for increased job site durability. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries.
