The 18V LXT® 1/2" Hammer Driver-Drill, Tool-Only (XPH17) features a Makita-built brushless motor that delivers 580 in.lbs. of Max Torque for a wide range of drilling, driving, and fastening applications. It features 3 modes: drilling, driving, and hammer driving. It's powered by a Makita brushless motor for longer run time, increased power and speed, and longer tool life. It features a variable 2-speed transmission (0-500 & 0-1,900 RPM) for a wide range of drilling, driving and fastening applications. The XPH17 features a keyless chuck that is engineered to prevent bit slippage and improves bit retention. The ½” Hammer Driver-Drill features a clutch with 20 positions to match the torque settings to the application. Convenience features include a compact and ergonomic design at only 6-3/4" long, L.E.D. lights, and a rubberized soft grip for increased comfort. It weighs only 3.7 lbs. with a 3.0Ah battery for reduced operator fatigue. It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries. Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™.
