The Kwikset SmartCode electronic deadbolt combines designer styling with convenient keyless entry and dependable residential security. Its Matte Black finish provides a bold, contemporary appearance that complements modern exterior doors. The keypad enables code-based access without requiring a traditional key for everyday entry, while multiple predefined auto-lock settings provide flexible locking convenience. The keypad remains illuminated for 10 seconds after inactivity, helping users enter codes in low-light conditions. SmartKey Security adds cylinder re-keying capability, allowing homeowners to reset the lock for a compatible KW1 Keyway key when needed. Microban antimicrobial product protection helps keep the hardware surface 99.9 percent cleaner than unprotected surfaces. The adjustable latch accommodates standard door preparations from 2-3/8 Inch to 2-3/4 Inch, and interchangeable round-corner and square-corner faceplates provide installation flexibility. ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 certification and UL testing compliance support dependable performance for contractors, homeowners, and DIY security upgrades. Door handle sold separately.
