The 12 In. Philadelphia pattern trowel carries the mortar towards the heel. This style has become the most popular pattern for use with block. The wide square heel with sharp angles holds the most mortar. The blade and tang are forged from a single piece of the highest grade carbon trowel steel for extra strength. Forging also assures product consistency. The blade is tempered for uniform blade hardness. The masonry trowel is then tapered ground blade for flexibility. The forged steel blade and shank offer strength and integrity with no internal voids that could form if it was welded. Forged steel will not weaken or crack. Each blade is polished to keep mortar centered on the blade and to resist sliding. The shank angle is precision balanced to reduce wrist fatigue. The 6" wood handle is designed for a comfortable hold by the bricklayer. The handle is fitted to the blade with a steel ferrule. Proudly made in the USA.
