The 02 01 180 high leverage combination pliers, the 74 01 160 high leverage diagonal cutters & the Knipex Cobra 87 01 250 high-tech water pump pliers together make up the power set. This name can really be taken literally, because the design & materials used make all three pairs of pliers highly efficient when gripping, holding, cutting, turning & locking. They are forged from carefully selected high-grade special tool steel, oil-hardened & put together in modern processes: for a long tool life, for efficient working. The high cutting capacity of the high leverage diagonal cutters & the high leverage combination pliers is attributable to the fact that their cutting edges are additionally induction hardened to approx. 64 HRC & 63 HRC. Professional users know the performance that these figures stand for. Thanks to the optimized high-performance transmission, 35% less manual force is required with the high leverage combination pliers than with conventional combination pliers. Gripping, holding, bending, cutting, pulling: with little manual force & high force on the component. Both pairs of pliers are forged from high-grade special tool steel. The Knipex Cobra water pump pliers are forged from chrome vanadium electric steel.
