JET JBM-5 1/2HP Bench Top Mortise Machine

The Benchtop Mortise Machine, 1/2-Inch Capacity, 1/2HP, 1725 RPM, from JET® helps you create cut joints that fit tenons for your various woodworking tasks. This Jet mortise machine's 1/2 hp motor is strong enough to power through tough material quickly. It's made from heavy-duty steel and cast iron and is durable enough to stand up to all sorts of regular use. Two hinged side doors provide you with easy access to the Jet benchtop mortise machine's chuck for quick changes. Rack-and-pinion actuation gives you accurate control for more precise results. A depth stop allows you to set the machine to a fixed measurement for easily repeatable work for when you need multiple pieces with the same mortise depth. The on/off switch is removable to prevent unauthorized activation. You can reverse the column when you need to work on larger pieces.
