This JET® BDB-1340A, Belt Drive Bench Lathe gives you everything you need for industrial turning jobs. Its enclosed headstock ensures quiet performance, and it has a V-way bed for strength and stability. This Jet BDB-1340A lathe also has a full-length guard to minimize coolant splash. Its speed changes quickly for various tasks, and it has low-voltage controls for efficient operation. Tapered roller bearings provide consistently smooth performance. This Jet bench lathe comes with an 8-inch independent chuck with four jaws for support and a 6-inch scroll chuck with top-mounted reversible jaws. Its 12-inch face place offers wide coverage, and its removable bed gap accommodates large stock. This heavy-duty machine weighs 1,175 pounds and measures 71 inches (L) by 32 inches (W) by 45 inches (H). It relies on a belt drive for consistency and a 2 hp motor to sustain turning speeds. For versatile threading, this Jet lathe includes 23 metric threads and 38 inch threads. Its spindle speed ranges from 60 to 1,250 rpm, and a lock-pin controls an optional extra gear. The included gap bed relies on four screws to hold it in place, and the lathe's tool post includes four functions for versatile performance.
