The JET® JWL-1440VS 14-Inch x 40-Inch Benchtop Wood Lathe provides complete versatility for turning jobs. Its headstock slides and pivots, so you have complete control over every project. Just lock the headstock in one of seven different positions and the Jet variable speed wood lathe can spin your stock for all sorts of woodworking projects. It produces a broad range of speeds, with turning speeds from 400 to 3,000 rpm. The machine's tool rest uses a positive locking mechanism to mirror the versatility of the headstock so that you can place it anywhere you need it. The body of the tool handles relies on cast-iron construction to reduce vibrations on the bench or an optional stand. This Jet wood lathe earned CSA certification for safe operation.
