EMAX 80 Gallon 175 PSI Splash Lube Air Compressor with Maintenance Kit

The EMAX 250 Silent Air series 10HP 80 gallon 2-stage V4, single phase air compressor is designed for up to 50000-hours based on B-10 bearing life, of use with proper maintenance. This EMAX air compressor is equipped with an all-cast iron splash lubricated pump producing 38 Cfm at 100 Psi. This unit features our patented Silent Air system already installed. The Silent Air system dissipates compressor intake noise by channeling the intake air through a series of baffle plates. This low-profile system adds 4-levels of air filtration along with making the compressor quiet, lowering the decibels by more than 35%. It also features industrial grade 1.1 Service Factor 1740 Rpm electric motor, magnetic starter, manual drain valve, 80 gallon powder coated ASME tank with 1/4 In. mounting pads, OSHA approved 13 G steel belt guard, 3/4 In. air outlet, all back by the best warranty around. Pump comes with 70 hour break-in oil, this compressor also includes your first maintenance kit for use after your first 70 hours of compressor break-in.

Splash pump - Operation: Splash lubrication systems work by using rod dippers that pass through the oil in the crankcase when the pistons are moving and splash the oil up onto the cylinders and pistons to lubricate them. Although this method is effective, it's not precise. Parts of the pump may not be receiving enough oil. Where there is not enough oil, wear between critical components can become a costly issue… on the other hand too much oil can also be in issue as well. Viscosity: Viscosity of the oil becomes important with splash method as well, if the oil is not thick enough it will not cling to the dippers as needed.
