DeoxIT D-Series D5S-6 Contact Cleaner provides fast-acting treatment for oxidized and contaminated metal connectors, contacts, and accessible components. The 5% DeoxIT formulation deoxidizes, lubricates, and protects metal surfaces while improving electrical conductivity and helping reduce intermittent connections, arcing, radio-frequency interference, wear, and abrasion. Its spray applicator provides flushing action to help remove dirt, grease, and other contaminants from accessible surfaces and components removed from equipment. The formulation contains 5% active DeoxIT, 75% odorless mineral spirits as the carrier solvent, and 20% propellant. The solvent evaporates more slowly than quick-dry formulas, providing additional flushing capability during application. The adjustable low-medium-high valve allows controlled spraying, while the formulation is suitable for use on plastics when compatibility is verified. The 142g aerosol is a practical choice when overspray is manageable and deeper cleaning action is desired.
