The MAB 845 V magnetic drill features an automatic feed mechanism with power retraction, a game changer in magnetic drilling, this magnetic drill will drill the hole for you, extend annular cutter life and reduce the chance of cutter breakage. Get more holes drilled per hour, more holes drilled per annular cutter, save time and money! With any magnetic drill the majority of cost will come from annular cutters and cutting tools, improving cutting tool life can pay for a magnetic drill many times over. Automatic feed and feed rate control add improved chip flow and reduce the chance of annular cutter breakage, a costly concern on any large drilling job. The MAB 845 V can be used in either manual or automatic mode. This combined with the swivel base that provides 30˚ movement left and right and 3/4” forward and backward makes the MAB 845 V extremely versatile. The 16 Amp, double-insulated, reversible motor has variable speed through a 4-gear oil bath gearbox (40-110, 65-175, 140-360, 220-600 RPM) for applications requiring high power. With infinitely variable torque control and full-wave electronics, this heavy-duty drill cuts holes up to 4-1/16" dia. in structural steel and other metals. Additional capabilities include twist drilling and reaming up to 1-1/4” dia., tapping up to 1-1/8” dia., countersinking up to 2”, manual drilling mode. A stroke length of 10” makes the MAB 845 V ideal for steel engineering, plant construction and more. This unit has a quick-change keyless cutter system for 3/4” Weldon Shanks, saving time and money. Integrated sensors in the MAB 845 V include magnet overheating protection, visual magnet adhesion indication and an Electronic Safety Shutoff Sensor to automatically shut down the drill motor if the magnet loses contact with the material. An internal cable routing system helps protect the motor power cord from external damage. The magnet has a holding force of 6,600 lbs.
