The 8690FH is a ratchet type, hard cable cutter measuring 29-1/4 In. in length. This cutter cuts hard cable, ACSR, ACAR, ZEBRA, and self-supporting telephone cable. Moderate pressure is needed to open and close the handles and can be used effectively to take short strokes in confined spaces. The jaw keeper prevents jaws from spreading while under a heavy load. The ratchet and chain design increases cutting pressure as handles open and close.
