This space-saving evaporative cooler is made for quiet operation and portability, allowing you to use it indoors or out. Oversize 4 in. caster wheels allow it to easily roll to wherever you need it most. Just hook it up to a standard garden hose or fill the portable water tank, turn it on, and start cooling. As a leader in ultra-modern cooling technologies, Cool Boss evaporative air coolers provide innovative comfort solutions. Cool Boss evaporative coolers are like industrial swamp coolers. They use water evaporation to reduce surrounding temperatures without consuming large amounts of energy. This ecology-conscious technology allows you to instantly chill areas at a fraction of the cost of traditional air conditioning methods. The Cool Boss CB-16 is equipped with our Honeycool™ evaporative media pads that soak up water like a sponge. The hexagonal shapes of the honeycomb allow air to pass through which results in evaporation, which then turns into a fresh blast of cool air delivering more tolerable and much fresher surroundings, especially during hot summer months. You won't have to deal with water escaping out the back of the Honeycool media pads. The resin-covered hexagonal honeycombs keeps water buildup in the back of the unit to a minimum, maximizing water usage efficiency by as much as 30% when compared to competitor models. Cool Boss is built to last. A durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE) housing provides superior damage protection and resistance to sunlight and UV rays. The CB-16 operates on regular 110-Volt household power and features a powerful 1/3 HP motor that circulates the air through a very capable 16 in. diameter Blue Flex™ fan. The proprietary axial-flow design of the fan pulls a greater amount of air at idle than traditional fan blade types. When RPMs increase, the fan blades slightly change shape. Although barely noticeable, this reduces engine drag at higher RPMs delivering the most effective, cost-saving performance. A built-in negative air ionizer helps clear the air of airborne particles like allergens, bacteria, viruses, and other nasty things that fill the air you breathe and pollute your workspaces. Variable fan-speeds allow you to precisely deliver just how much cool air you need.
