Albion Engineering 3-Wheel Backer Rod Insertion Tool with Soft Grip

The Albion Engineering 640-7 3-Wheel Backer Rod Insertion Tool is designed to place foam backer rod quickly, consistently, and at controlled depths in caulk joints. Its adjustable wheel assembly allows backer rod placement in 1/8 Inch increments up to 1 Inch deep, helping professionals achieve consistent joint preparation for reliable sealant installation. The tool is well suited for saw cut joints and expansion joints in concrete and other construction applications. A soft grip handle improves comfort and helps reduce hand fatigue during repetitive installation work. An integrated Picatinny Rail provides a mounting point for the Albion Rechargeable Flashlight 1144-1, adding convenient task illumination when required. The tool also accepts a standard painter's extension pole or broom handle, including Albion 876-1 or 876-2 options, for placing backer rod in floor joints. Four insertion wheels and a tamping blade are included for versatile jobsite use.
