Where are Stabila levels made?
Germany manufactures Stabila spirit levels. The first factory was in Annweiler am Trifels, near the French border. Today, the Stabila headquarters is in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This location and surrounding factories make millions of Stabila levels yearly.
Are I-beam or box-beam levels better?
An I-beam and a box-beam level differ in their construction and usage. I-beam levels are field-serviceable. Their vials can snap into place. I-beam levels have a shape resembling a capital “I”. Box-beam levels have a rectangular shape. They are heavier and sturdier. They glue or suspend their vials in place. With a box-beam level, once the vial is loose, it will never read valid again. This means your accuracy decreases.
