The Makita 18V LXT® Sub-Compact Cordless Band Saw Kit is designed for one-handed operation in confined spaces and overhead applications. The band saw kit includes one 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion compact 2.0 Ah battery, rapid optimum charger, blade, and hex wrench. The band saw is powered by a brushless motor that delivers 160 cuts of 3/4" EMT in one full charge. The saw comes with a LED light that illuminates work areas in low light conditions. Overload protection safeguards the motor from burnout in any high torque situations. Die-cast aluminum gear and blade housing ensures durability and high cutting stability. The saw has 2 x 2" cutting capacity and is ideal for cutting multiple materials. Constant speed control automatically applies extra power to the motor to maintain speed under load during challenging jobs. The blade tracking dial allows adjustments for enhanced cutting performance quickly and the tool-less blade change lever ensures easy installation and minimal downtime. Star Protection Computer Controls™ protect from overloading, over-discharging, and over-heating. The catch bar helps overcomes accidental follow through during repetitive cutting. The rapid optimum charger comes with built-in fan to cool the battery for fast and efficient charging.
