The Yamaha PW3028 Pressure Washer is gas-powered with a multifunctional spray nozzle. Its water-pressure output rating of 2.8 gallons per minute at up to 3000 PSI is ideal for removing dirt, debris and grime from residential outdoor surfaces, plus it's safe to use on vehicles and boats. The Yamaha PW3028 Pressure Washer comes with a Yamaha 192cc 4-stroke engine, which powers an all-brass, industry-standard reciprocating Triplex® pump manufactured by Cat. The pressure washer has a 1.5 gallon fuel tank that provides plenty of operating time. The nozzle of the Yamaha 3000 PSI pressure washer is adjustable for spraying at 3 different angles and has a pivoting spray tip with 5 different spray settings. The pressure washer also comes with a low-pressure nozzle for washing delicate surfaces. The nozzle-gun handle of the Yamaha gas pressure washer rotates 360 degrees for ergonomic control, with a quick-locking mechanism for maneuverability on the go. All-brass fittings, a 30-foot braided-steel hose and steel wheels and axles give this pressure washer strength and durability. Yamaha's heavy-duty pressure washer has a steel hand-truck roll-cage frame to protect the engine and pump.

Customer Reviews
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Starting the engine is a gut wrencher I have had this unit for approx. 1.5 years and have used it extensively. My main criticism is that it is a bear to start. It simply will not start when following the instructions: pull the rope, release the pressure, pull the rope, release the pressure, ad infinitum until you give up in disgust or fatigue. The ONLY way it will start is to hold the nozzle trigger in the engaged position which will allow the engine to accelerate to "run" (rather than "idle") speed upon firing, but this is dangerous. Unless you have three or more hands, you have a live, fully-spraying nozzle whipping around and basically out of control. Lesser issues include poor placement of the engine/pump within the frame resulting in the rotary off-on switch being just below the starter pull-rope cover and unless you are really careful, you will inadvertently turn the switch to off position with the back of your hand when returning the rope to the pull position, thereby adding to the joy of numerous fruitless pull-release pressure, pull-release,etc., etc. (see above) exercises. On the positive side, once this thing is up and running, it works great, although I have not tried the soaper device which another reviewer complained about. The Cat pump is a winner. Overall, I wish I had shopped around to find a unit with both the Cat pump and a Honda engine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from JUNK DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! YAMAHA HAS ALWAYS MADE GREAT PRODUCTS, SO WHY NOT PAY THE EXTRA $$ AND GET A LONG LASTING QUALITY MACHINE. WRONG! THE SOAPER IS NEVER WORKING CORECTLY FROM NOT DRAWING THE SOAP IN TO PUSHING WATER INTO THE SOAPER. EVERY TIME WE USE IT, IT IS A FIGHT TO GET IT TO WORK CORRECTLY. YAMAHA CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THIS PROBLEM IS USELESS. THE YAMAHA FACTORY REP, NOT THE DEALER BUT THE YAMAHA REP= USELESS. SOAPER = JUNK PULL CORD= BROKEN 3 TIMES SPRAY WAND= LEAKS

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok but After reading positive reviews and doing research I ordered a Yamaha PW 3028 with 10% off and free shipping. Best deal around. Arrived 5 days later. During unpacking noticed paint rubbed off handle due to parts moving around in shipping box. Assumed touch up paint would be available. This is a good product however some issues. The piviot for angle spray does not stay locked and constantly requires moving back to desired position. The unit is hard starting and easy to tear skin on your hand when cranking due to sharp edges around reccessed crank handle. Directions followed and only fresh non ethanol gas used. Unit has about three hours total run time and has lost significant spray pressure. I called Acme for replacement spray pivot and touch up paint. They sent me to Yamaha.who sent me to nearest dealer 100 miles away. When i called dealer they asked "where did you buy it?" Two days work lost and travel expense for 100 mile drive same or more than cost of unit. Disapoonting no phone support for simple swap warranty or purchased parts. If you dont have local dealer willing to service when you did not purchase from them think carefully before buying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pressure washer After killing box store brand pressure washers at the rate of 1 a year, I decided to upgrade to the Yamaha. I was not disappointed. It is easy to start, and runs exceptionally quiet. The Cat pump was the main reason I bought it, and it works as advertised. I can wash 3 vehicles on one tank of gas. Best of all though, I can find any part for this machine at any Yamaha dealer, and on every website that sells Yamaha OEM parts. I couldn't be happier with it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pw The Yamaha arrived promptly , well packed and without damage. It was an easy assembly , just add oil and attach wheels. Use a funnel to add gas and avoid a brown spot on your lawn. I set the nozzle on 40 deg and attached it to an extendable 18' wand. I then pressure washed the eaves of my home which are covered in vinyl siding. i then removed the long wand and finished the lower bits. The Yamaha/Cat combo did an excellent job , with the siding looking like new. I then washed my pickup with great results.Remember to turn the fuel lever to ON. When finished , I switched the fuel valve off and drained the carb bowl with the designated screw fitting. Will be doing more as summer progresses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOT WHAT I PAID FOR I should confess that I'm NOT a big fan of pressure washers in general. To me, they nearly fall into the "power blower" category of tools: tools that I could happily live several lifetimes without feeling the need for. However, when I saw my lady friend struggling with her cheap, run-down electric washer I had to intervene. So after a bit of research and based somewhat on my prior experiences with Yamaha I ordered the PW3028. My feeling is that there's economy in buying quality once so as to obviate the aggravation associated with cheap stuff. Kind of like buying a pizza these days. Everyone seems interested only in creating another $5 pizza, but what I want is something good to eat! Charge $35 if you must. So, this thing works, and my lady friend is impressed with the performance. For my part, I'm impressed with the apparent quality of its components. The frame, pump, wand, engine, tires, and ergonomics are all first rate. And it actually kinda' looks good. There's just no comparison with anything else I've seen. Nothing chintzy here. I'm more than satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Pressure Washer, Great Price Got this baby when there was a 10% off site wide coupon. Total ended up at less than $700 with free shipping. Best price anywhere. Shipped quickly. Great machine. Well worth the extra dollars. If you buy garbage from a big box store you will end up needing another pressure washer eventually. Just get the right one from the beginning.
