Wilton Machine Vises
WILTON® machine vises are available in several different styles that suit both drilling and milling needs. Like Wilton bench vises, C-Clamps and F-Clamps, these vises hold materials in place securely. However, they are unique in that they mount to the table of a drilling or milling machine. Both milling and drill press varieties feature sturdy construction, often of steel or high-tensile cast iron that helps ensure their durability and also lets them handle the force of the applications you use them for.
Wilton drill press vises mount to drill press machines. They feature open bases, which let you drill holes through the material you're working with without accidentally drilling into the vises. Like most clamps, such as Wilton C-Clamps and bench vises, this style features two jaws. A screw or a center bar knob lets you lock them into position. Some Wilton drill press vises come with locking lever cams, which let you quickly exert pressure and adjust that holding pressure.
There are several variations to the standard drill press vice and mill vise, including quick-release, angle and cross-slide options. When you're drilling or reaming a piece of wood or metal, an angle Wilton machine vise lets you do so at an angle up to 90 degrees. This is especially helpful for projects that require angles drill holes or even when tackling light-duty milling work. If the piece you're working needs adjustment from left to right and needs to be set at an angle, a cross slide vise works well. This type of machine vise features two mounts that let you move the material in two different directions.
Vacuum base vises attach to any dry, flat, clean surface in your shop. They feature cast-aluminum bodies, which make them lightweight and easily portable. Most feature rubber jaw faces that help prevent marring of your work.
Hold your work steady while you drill or mill using the right Wilton machine vises. There is a variety available, as well as other Wilton tools that will help make each new project easier.
