Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for smaller area Unaccustomed to snow in our area we found several huge snow storms in B.C. this year. Being a senior, we found in difficult to shovel our driveway and sidewalk. We purchased our Toro 1800 and found it very easy to use and did the job admirably. The 1800 blew the snow a good distance and cut down the time of shoveling by 65%.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from this is a great product This machine is easy to use and very light weight if needed to carry down steps. .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for what it is This is NOT a full-blown snowblower so do not expect miracles. But if you want a really good less expensive, less complex and lightweight version that will do wonders for snow on your driveway and deck - this is your tool. It does, however, struggle with the plowed snow at the end of the driveway - especially if you do not tackle it right after the plow goes down the street.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely recommend this model. Overall easily handled by a retiree. Lives up to its description - definitely throws snow 30 feet, easy to move around and pick up. I use it for my (short) driveway, walkway and clearing snow off the deck. It's made a big difference for me, compared to shovelling in past years. To date I've used it after 2 snowfalls; the first time the snow was quite heavy (wet) and I wondered it if would be too much for the Toro, but it was fine. The 2nd time the snow was lighter though deeper (higher than the top of the blades); I needed to let the snow blower ride up on the snow and then take a second pass to clear the area. Overall, the ease of use and the price makes it a good choice for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A real "work horse" I had my last Toro snow blower for 23 years through many tough New England winters and never had a problem with it. I'm pretty sure this one will be the same. It's easy to use and powerful. It is not too heavy and so is easy to push through the snow. Love it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best product ever! I bought a Toro Power Curve 1800 nearly 20 years ago and it prevented a lot of back aches if I had to shovel snow. I have a neighbor who is a disabled veteran so I ordered a new Toro Power Curve 1800 for myself and gave him my original machine that still works perfectly. The new Toro has improved features. The ratchet deflector holds the deflector in place, whereas the old deflector could not be locked into position and it always went high.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Efficient for an electric machine. So far so good. Hope it will last. Light and easy to carry around. I mostly use it to clear a multilevel patio. It would not have the capacity to clear the driveway in our area. The snow chute could however turn a little more to the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Toro Power Curve 1800 The Toro 38381 Power Curve 1800 has been a good purchase. If you have a very long area to cover, then the issue of a power cord may be a problem. Even in just my average driveway, the cord seems to always be in the way. The unit itself has been great. It can move the snow very well. I'm not a big fan of the safety button. I understand why it's there, but it's a pain the butt to have to push it in every time you want to start the unit. I wish there was a way to push in the safety button and have it stay pushed in. I end up pushing it in and then pulling back the handle about 20 or 30 times each time I clear the driveway. That's my only concern with the Toro Power Curve 1800. I would still purchase the unit.
