Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid machine Ok, so I thought it was a weird way to purchase a snow blower and was unsure if it would work. But it did. Just understand that the delivery process takes 2-3 weeks, and while it is delivered by the local dealer you select, the unit needs to get shipped to the local dealer first. In my case the dealer was phenomenal and did everything they can to get it delivered just hours before the blizzard of 2016. The machine ran great out of the box and plowed through 18“ of snow with three foot drifts on the first pass. Just today we got 2“ of north east sloop and the anti-clog chamber worked like a charm. However it still did clog on very soupy stuff. The 8 HP engine has the power under load. Plus has fuel shut off. A great machine. For on-line orders there is little communication until unit ready to be delivered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs exactly as advertised. No surprises. This machine is a beast ! I live in the Philly suburbs and we were the 30" bullseye for the "Blizzard of 2016". I have used the Toro Power Max for many smaller snowfalls but 30" would be a test for any snowblower. My Toro Power Max 826 OXE got the job done. Plenty of power to move snow and plenty of width to save time. At times I wasn't able to take a full 26"wide bite but I never felt like the machine was being overpowered by the snow. I'd say the Toro Power Max 826 OXE passed this HUGE snowblowing test and smaller snow totals are no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No snow yet I took possession 2 days ago. It's a gift so it is still hidden away. With any luck we won't have enough snow to use it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Snow blower I purchased this new snowblower to replace an old Spirit snowblower 27" 2 stage blower. I purchased this snowblower just prior to the 12" wet snow we received last weekend. I purchased a Toro because they re built to last and they are easy to operate. This blower started up on the first try and went thru the snow like a hot knife thru butter. It threw the wet snow clear past the far side of my two car wide driveway. It went right down to the pavement and cleaned out the apron with ease. This snow blower turns on a dime with little effort. This was easy compared to the old beast that would clog easily thru wet snow and required wrestling with it in turns. This snow blower is well worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Skids My 826 OXE has metal skids, seems like these should be plastic. Does anyone know if that's an add-on or do the metal skids seem to work OK? Not sure how long they last dragging against the drive way. I know my neighbors replace their plastic ones at least twice a year Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Question about automatic or power steering Hi There, I am about to take delivery of one of these units and I am confident it will be a great machine as all TORO equipment I own has been however I wanted to clarify a few things: 1) The description on the TORO website indicates this is a 28" wide unit capable of throwing snow 45'. Clearly I am assuming this is an error as this is the small chassis unit and as the model indicates it is 26" wide. 2) The features section indicates this unit has trigger activated power steering however units I have seen in dealer showrooms do not have triggers to release the drive wheels. 3) The features section also indicates this unit has a commercial gearcase? Is this true or is this only on the HD model? 4) Does the model below this unit, the 37780 826 OE have any sort of power or automatic steering? Comparing the 37780 and 37781 it appears the only difference is the addition of a headlight and possibly automatic steering? Thanks in advance for your help.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no information on power steering I have a machine with power steering that does not have the triggers to steer it. There is no information in the manual on how it works. Send me a manual for my machine, or at least an adendum to the manual. This is an annoiying oversite on your part.
