Rated 1 out of 5 by from not good This machine clogs up with any slush at all. then there is no way to clear it but heat gun or hot water. Light puffy snow fine any thing else it is nearly useless. Absolute necessity is chains and they come off and get lost in the snow..You should wire them on. The wheels on this thing just lose traction and spin. A waste of money. Try another brand with better ability to deal with slush and ice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shear pin breaks day before massive storm I bought my machine in 2016. Not much of a winter , mostly made slushes. This year we had a few snows. Traction was not great and turning difficult. I should have bought the higher priced HD unit with larger wheels and better steering. Ok yesterday I take the unit out of the garage and there is ice buildup from last use. Ok my fault although as this was my first unit I was not aware that this was an issue. The marketing materials emphasis no shear pin to break. Yep it broke. Do you know what today is. March 14th in Scranton PA. Massive blizzard with 4 foot drifts built up over the day around my house and driveway. Yep snowblower is in the shop. A storm like this was why I bought it in the first place. Not happy slugging thru snow up to my thighs. No way to get to work tomorrow. Obviously not impressed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product Why should I have to write something if I do not want to?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has the guts to do the job Easy turning, ability to take snow and blow it a long ways away and dependable starting engine make this machine desirable. I like the single lever to control direction and distance while holding down the left (traction) lever.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a quality brand anymore I had a Toro 828OXE with old L-head engine. The quality was very good and I was satisfied with the machine. When I moved I gave it to a friend and I bought a new 826OXE thinking it is the same. I was wrong. The first time I used it I could feel the quality was not there. The machine shot flames from muffler. I brought it back to the dealer. After they did an adjustment, the engine ran very rough and backfired constantly. Engine would stop when idling. I had to set choke at half way the entire time. Very disappointed in Toro, not a quality brand anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A solid machine Ok, so I thought it was a weird way to purchase a snow blower and was unsure if it would work. But it did. Just understand that the delivery process takes 2-3 weeks, and while it is delivered by the local dealer you select, the unit needs to get shipped to the local dealer first. In my case the dealer was phenomenal and did everything they can to get it delivered just hours before the blizzard of 2016. The machine ran great out of the box and plowed through 18“ of snow with three foot drifts on the first pass. Just today we got 2“ of north east sloop and the anti-clog chamber worked like a charm. However it still did clog on very soupy stuff. The 8 HP engine has the power under load. Plus has fuel shut off. A great machine. For on-line orders there is little communication until unit ready to be delivered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performs exactly as advertised. No surprises. This machine is a beast ! I live in the Philly suburbs and we were the 30" bullseye for the "Blizzard of 2016". I have used the Toro Power Max for many smaller snowfalls but 30" would be a test for any snowblower. My Toro Power Max 826 OXE got the job done. Plenty of power to move snow and plenty of width to save time. At times I wasn't able to take a full 26"wide bite but I never felt like the machine was being overpowered by the snow. I'd say the Toro Power Max 826 OXE passed this HUGE snowblowing test and smaller snow totals are no problem.
