Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting our 2nd one This is my second review. I did not understand that side discharge is a special configuration, so we ran the machine 5 years on our quarter acre without the bag, before it started to overheat. In the 6th year we wised up and put the bag on, but I had also planted a lot of clover in the lawn and this adds to the wear on the mower. So after 6 years we are getting a new one. We keep the lawn at 3 inches so bagging doesn't hurt it any, and I discovered that the clippings compost as dry in our spinner bins, which was needed. Anyway, I love that I can order online, have it delivered free, and my local mom & pop dealer gets the credit. Looking forward to at least another 6 years of happy mowing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst lawnmower I've ever owned Unit doesn't cut well (brand new blade), cut grass clogs up at entrance to grass catcher, and it's heavier than any mower I've used. It does, however, start easily, but loses a cutting power about halfway through my quite small front lawn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good mower for a moderate sized yard Cuts good. Easy to handle. Weak area is recharging equipment. Shortly after receiving mower would not charge. Returned to dealer and was repaired. Now charger that plugs into the unit has a broken wire in the plug. Looks like I will have to replace the entire cord unit. Thinking for a part that gets removed and reinserted frequently should be designed to handle the stress. This one is not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This mower should not be sold in the Pacific Northwest I've owned my e-Cycler for 3 years. But due to weak grass discharge, and the stated instructions that grass should be dry, this product should not be sold in the PNW, IMHO. Up here, grass is damp even in summer - all summer. If one waits for rare occasion for it to dry, it is too long to cut with this mower and the discharge chute clogs after only a short distance. This causes constant stopping to clear the chute.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goldilocks and the 4th mower We have tried every kind of mower on our double city lot. Reel mower has to be done twice a week. Regular electric adds half an hour just for cord-wrestling. Gas, well, we are just not gas people. I do not like maintaining a gas motor or having to pour fuel. This mower is just right. We are coming to the end of our 5th summer and still very happy with this machine. I wish I had understood when we bought it that if you want to leave your clippings on the lawn, you really need to ask for the optional side discharge. It can't be added later, and mulching is only good in early spring or late fall when the grass is not so lush, or you could set it on the very highest and enjoy your meadow. We just use the bag that comes with the mower and pile the clippings wherever we don't want grass to grow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I love that I don't have to get gas and that the mower doesn't release gas fumes to the air we breath.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A major problem is that it cannot lift the grass to be cut. Mechanically, the mower has done well for the past 2 1/2 years. A point of annoyance is that the blade does not generate enough lift to bring the grass up for cutting. For example, when making a pass across the yard, the wheels will slightly mat down the grass. On the next pass, I can overlap where the wheels went on the previous pass, but the mower will not lift the grass at all. So, I have stripes of long grass when i have mowed the yard. Makes no difference if the grass is really dry, or slightly moist. It would be nice of Toro could provide a blade with a different shape that might be able to solve this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dependable, efficient, quiet - great buy This is the best mower I've ever had. I have a small-ish lawn with lots of thick spots and some weeds, and when fully charged the mower takes care of the whole thing easily. Adjusting the cutting height is a snap, and it's easy to clean. It's also quiet enough that I can listen on my headphones without blasting the volume. The only caveat is that it doesn't edge great -- so I use it in conjunction with a trimmer for the edges of the lawn. Even with that added step, this mower lets me do a better job on my lawn in less than half the time my previous mower required.
