Surface Forming Bits
We carry a wide selection of surface forming and other wood router bits to enable discerning woodworkers to select the right wood forming profile to finish off their woodwork project. The assortment of bits includes radius cove and classic cove bits as well as traditional beading, corner beading and triple beading router bits.
Create a stunning finish to your furniture by choosing a triple bead router bit. These are available to suit quarter-inch and half-inch shanks and in a selection of radii to create a great profile. Alternatively, be traditional by opting for curved beading router bits.
Most surface forming router bits may be fitted with pilot bearings to guide the router over curved surfaces and to ensure a uniform depth of cut. For long life and optimum performance, especially when working with hardwoods and laminated chipboard, we recommend the use of carbide-tipped router bits.
For safety's sake, ensure you use the correct size bits for your particular router. When used on a hand router, large bits can become unstable and potentially harmful. If possible, select a router bit with a kickback reducing design that limits the depth of cut and avoids the risk of the workpiece or router being ripped out of your hands.
While renovating your home, it's sometimes necessary to replace milled woodwork. Our range of architectural millwork , designed for either table or hand routers, will save you money and provide flexibility to mill the new woodwork to the same profile. We also carry a complete selection of edge forming router bits to create almost any edge profile.
Apart from catering to your entire surface forming needs, we stock a complete range of router accessories for maintaining equipment and extending your router inventory. And, have a look at our power tool accessories for your other equipment needs.
