Stabila Measuring Tapes
STABILA® tape measures and folding rulers have a long history of quality and precision with both professional trades and home do-it-yourselfers. Stabila began innovating back in 1865 with the invention of the Ulrich hinged rule, a basic design that has continued to the present in the form of the engineers rule. This folding ruler is built to last from premium beech wood with hardened steel springs and joints for the hinges. The rivets are fully sealed to be weather and abrasion resistant.
The Stabila test and measurement tools that most people would want to use though are the self-retracting steel tape measures which are available in the SAE measurement format. Developed over many decades, Stabila tape measures are designed to make taking measurements as quick and easy as possible. The steel blade of the tape measure easily passes the old "hold it out 10 feet before it falls" test. A coating of Mylar on the blade also helps to keep these steel tape measures free from grit and working smoothly.
Stabila tape measures use a patented 'Stabila Spikes' grip hook on the end of the blade to keep the tape in place while you measure. The 27-foot SAE tape measure and 33-foot tape measure also feature a rocker blade lock to secure the blade in place leaving your hands free to do other things. The scale is marked on both sides of the tape blade to ensure you can make your measurements in the easiest possible way. The rubber cover is easy to grip and designed for ergonomic handling. As with all Stabila products, these tape measures are designed to take rough treatment around work sites.
All Stabila measuring tools are guaranteed for accuracy and quality allowing you to work and measure with confidence both on the work site and around the home.
