Stabila Laser Measure
STABILA® first introduced laser measures into its product line in 1994, and since then they've made measuring over long distances simpler than ever. Using a laser to measure distance is very easy. Simply place the base of the unit at one end of the length and aim the laser at the other end. With a quick press of a button, you'll have a measurement, accurate to within 1/16 of an inch, recorded on the device. Tasks that used to take two people can now be easily done by one. This simple functionality alone means that a digital range finder may even replace your traditional tape measure.
What makes Stabila range finders even more valuable on a construction site though are the different functions that are built into the electronics. Even a simple model can perform valuable calculations for you. For example, to calculate area, you simply select the mode and measure between two sets of walls by pointing and clicking. It will instantly give you the result. Many top of the line digital range finders can perform tasks like calculating the gradiant of an angled object such as a roof or help to stake out defined regular measurements such as for positioning studs in a wall frame. Some even have a built-in camera and Bluetooth® allowing you to aim more accurately over long distances using the screen and then transfer the data to your iPhone or iPad.
Of course, our entire range of Stabila range finders is built to last, and that goes for the rest of the Stabila line of products as well. They have excellent protection against the dust and water typically found around a construction site, and the strong impact-resistant housing protects the device against most accidental drops. With maximum distances from 100 feet up to 660 feet, there's no better way to quickly and easily measure over long distances than with a Stabila range finder.
