Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts plywood like a hot knife through butter I just used it for the first time. The saw cut straight right out of the box. It blows the dust away so you can see what you are cutting. The cuts are smooth, the saw is really easy to handle. There are a lot of choices out there and I feel like I made the right decision to buy this one. The tool is well built and feels like high quality. I am very impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Balanced This is a Well Balanced saw. It is due to it's magnesium construction. Where most saws are half plastic and half metal, they feel heavy on one side. I have never had a saw with 15 Amp power before, and as an electrician, I was worried if it would be too much power to handle comfortably. Between it's sure grip, balanced feel, smooth operation and light weight, the SKILSAW Model # SPT67WM-22 cuts through anything with comfort and ease! This is a Pro Grade Saw that is easy to handle! I have had several sidewinders before and the ones I would avoid have a plastic tab connecting the body and the plate. None of the Skill Saws are made that way! Except for the handles, this one is ALL METAL! And believe me, you do not want a metal handle, they are cold and uncomfortable! This has a good quality cord on it, which stays flexible on cold days! A spindle lock for changing the blade. Easy to make adjustments. On board wrench. Easy to see line of cut! Skill has put a whole lot of world class engineering and quality manufacturing into this product. Nail It!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Base plate does not stay square I purchases 2 saws at the same time because of all the reviews. Once I started using them I found out that the base plates are not square. In order to make a 90 degree cut you have to put both of them on 4-5 degrees. There is not adjustment for the base plate. I have used them for 2 1/2 months and now I have to ship them to a service center for them to take a look at them. This is very inconvenient for a contractor!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprising, but its The Best Circular Saw I've use I have been in carpentry since the age of six. I have used just about every brand of saw and found that the de-wult was great on the job but eh not just what needed to feel out of a saw. I watched this saw unfold online for a while and finally purchase when our stone mason backed into the drive where we were working and ran over the de-wult. on to the store I purchased this one. It is excellent, light and has the ease of control for all day. And yes its durable first day out we cut into the side of a house in the rain. cut trim, siding, plywood, pt lumber. you get the idea.. if it was gonna break I planned to break it today. Well guess i found my new favorite saw because this saw isn't going anywhere any time soon. But it now, quit looking

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice saw Checked out quite a few saws before getting this one. Balance and weight as well as ease of use and visibility of cut line set it apart from the others. Compared to others in it's price range the features it possesses where what I was looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Lightweight Saw I received this from Be The Pro and have been using it is as my primary circular in my Woodshop. Wicked nice saw, love the easy depth and angle controls and super light. The shoe is really durable and making plunge cuts is a breeze. The power is amazing and it doesn't bog down. Thanks for making such a great saw!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work horse! This saw is great. It has all the features of the DeWalt DWE575 (except for 1/8" less cut depth - no big deal), such as a clear line of sight and light weight, but also adds on to many of those. By using four stator windings instead of the typical two windings found on other brands' circular saws, Skilsaw was able to increase the motor power to 3 (?) horsepower (compared to 2.6), the same as in the latest Skilsaw worm drives, which allows its blade speed (NOT motor speed) to be 5300 RPM instead of 5200 RPM. That translates into a faster blade tip speed of 114.3 mph compared to 112.2 mph. The magnesium motor housing is also a huge bonus. The motor also stays much cooler than the Dewalt saws we have used. All in all we love this saw and look forward to continued improvements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Commercial duty and exemplary product design In my opinion, this saw is an excellent fusion of refined ergonomics, industrial design and appropriate materials. ( I am an architect, so I often pay attention to these kinds of things.) Skilsaw introduced the hand held electric circular saw (invented in Louisiana) to the world almost 90 years ago. They may be back on top with this apparently durable sidewinder that borrows features from their renowned model-77 worm drive saw. As a commercial product it is also a great value. I would not have been surprised if the saw had been priced higher. I will probably hand it down to my son. Thank you Skil. P.S. I do not usually take the time to write reviews, but I felt compelled to this time.
