Features

The RK3441K compact circular saw can essentially replace a mulcher's or professionals need for a full-size 7-1/4 In. circular saw. This saw was born to cut wood, especially 2 In. final lumber materials. This saw weighs only 5 lbs, so it is easy to transport and maneuver (especially overhead). The slim, infeed grip design provides great comfort, balance, and control. The 41/2 In. blade cuts 2X4s in a single pass and is about 50% lighter than conventional 71/4 In. circular saws. Plus, the lightweight saw's left-sided blade design provides remarkable cut-line visibility. The saw's 4-1/2 In. blade has a kerf that is less than half the thickness of larger 7-1/4 In. circular saw blades. Since this smaller, thinner blade takes much less effort and motor strain to cut through the material, the 5 Amp to 3500 rpm saw can match the performance of full-size circular saws. The saw's maximum cutting depth at 90° is 1-11/16 In. and the bevel capacity at 45° is 1-1/8 In.. the saw also features a dust extraction port and a 1-1/4 In. vacuum adapter for dust collection and a clean work environment.

Additional Features

  • Small, compact size for excellent maneuverability and portability
  • Slim-line grip design for comfort, balance, and control
  • Exceptional depth-of-cut for cutting 2 In. stock lumber
  • Small, thin blade for less tool strain, resulting in full-size circular saw cutting speed and performance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome saw... Powerful, well built, and versatile. Just an amazing saw.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bigger fingers than mine to operate safety The safety and trigger are a pain to press all at one time (I guess I must have small hands) Normally this problem is no big deal but when you are using to cut something like in an odd angle in a difficult position (which we never do in construction) the saw is hard to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works like a charm Saw works great. Built like a tank. Used it cut about 1/4" thick steel plate. Just a short cut, maybe 2" by 3". My intent is to only do something like this ONCE. Used the diamond tile blade which worked fine as long as I did not push it too hard. I don't really recommend using this on steel but I was too lazy to use a hack saw. I'm sure this will cut wood and drywall like a hot knife through butter.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mediocre Rockwell’s Compact Circular Saw has its pluses & minuses. It has a nice long electrical cord; I have used it many times without using an extension cord. The depth and angle adjustment are simple and easy to use. When holding the Compact Circular Saw, it seems heavy for its size and solidly build; that being said, when I turn off my saw, as it is spinning down, it makes loud and disturbing noises, like metal clanging or bearings flying around inside the motor. However, it continues to work and works well. (I will keep using it until it flies apart.) On the minus side, how cheap can Rockwell be; for a hundred dollars, they give you a cardboard box to store your Compact Circular Saw. The thing I dislike most about the Compact Circular Saw is the safety/on-off switch. My hand is of average to large size. I have found it difficult to turn on the Compact Circular Saw on while wearing leather gloves; it is hard to grip and turn on the safety switch. I can manage without gloves but I rather wear gloves while the saw blade is spinning. The Compact Circular Saw has its place but it is no replacement for a 7 ¼ inch saw. I own both the Rockwell Jaw Horse and the Rockwell Oscillating Multi Tool each of which I would rate five stars. However, the Compact Circular Saw is just mediocre, deserving a three or at best a four star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little saw Exactly what I was looking for. Small saw yet able to cut through a 2x4.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well engineered product! I got this as a gift on Father's Day. I do a lot of woodworking and constructing. I have used my Craftsman 10" power miter saw and my Craftsman hand-held 8" circular saw for years. They are now collecting dust in my garage. The engineer that designed this Rockwell 4-1/2" Compact Circular Saw should be commended! Easy to handle, easy to operate, extremely portable and has easily and neatly cut through every challenge that I have put it up to. Great power tools are hard to find today. This is the perfect power hand saw for professionals and amateurs alike. Great job!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too convenient I got this little saw because I started making chicken coops and dog houses. I was framing with 2x2s and 1x2s and using 3/8 plywood and luan. This thing was so powerful I was sing it on full 2x4s and 6s along with 1/2 and 3/4 plywood. The worm drive allowed it cut anything I put it to. Also, it's so compact it fits right in my toolbag. If I'm going on a roof or something, it fits in my nail pouch. A must have for quick easy access to a saw without taking out the full size. Honestly, I beat the heck out of it as my main saw. No signs of getting tired. I love this thing.
