Customer Reviews
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way Better than the Klein option As a high volume recessed light installing electrician, I had lost hope for a fast solution to quickly cutting precise holes for retrofit cans. Klein was a disappointment almost right out of the gate. So my only real viable option was a drywall circle cutter to first scribe the hole with any accuracy. After that, using my sheetrock jab saw and a vacuum in order to maintain accuracy and cleanliness. The two step process was slow but I had full control over the hole size as with retrofit cans there is very little room for error. Milwaukee has come through on just about every level to make the initial "good try" by Klein into "the only real option." From the dust shield, to the spring assist collar which maintains full contact to ceiling, to quicklock and fool proof adjusting, this is the tool any recessed light installer needs. I have been extremely satisfied on most everything. The ONLY down side doesn't even come from the hole cutter but the cans themselves. The cap at the top of a Halo can is about an 1/8th inch larger than the sleeve, so just prior to pushing into the ceiling, some of the hole needs to be enlarged, but I can do that quickly with my sheetrock knife. All said this it the only thing I will be using from here on for can light jobs. THANK YOU!
