Features

Milwaukee® M28™ REDLITHIUM™ Battery Pack powers all tools in the Milwaukee M28 series. The fuel gauge shows you how much battery life remains on your current charge so you know when to pull out your spare or how to best prioritize your remaining work. REDLINK Plus™ technology manages the Milwaukee battery pack's power to keep your tools running at peak performance while simultaneously protecting you from overloads. This battery is built to last, and to survive bumps and impacts on the jobsite. The rechargeable battery pack can be recharged many times for long-lasting value. They utilize lithium-ion technology to resist forming a "memory" when you charge them before they completely run down. Grab a second battery and switch it between the charger and the tool to get all-day power.

Customer Reviews
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent power I have used the V28 tools for several years. All have performed very well, more power when you need it, very reliable. As an example the 1/2" drill will actually drill a 1/2" hole through an inch of steel. The band saw will cut 2" steel roundstock without hesitation. The impact wrench is equal to an air wrench, without having to drag a hose around. The only issue currently at hand is the replacement M28 batteries. with the re-design the tool+battery will no longer fit back in it's case, and the battery life appears to be shorter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short life span I own the impact and the hammer drill. They are always stored in the garage and both my batteries have been replaced under warranty and have since died again . Mine are the v28 but why would I spend money on another set of batteries in hopes that they will last longer. I now own Mikita tools. Will never buy Milwaukee again. They know the first batteries were bad yet they expect you to buy the new ones. They only warrantee the new ones for 3 years which means you will be buying another set. No thank you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Landfills take warning! If the battery issue could be adjusted I would return to my previous enthusiasm. But even the "New" 28.8V battery only charged a few times before refusing to charge. People that use their electric tools professionally--even if not every tool, daily--want dependability, not just 'that ol' team, Rah!Rah! Does Milwaukee even have a Quality Manual or just a desire to trade; off of a well-earned reputation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short V28 Battery Life The V28 tool line is great but serves no purpose if the batteries fail within a year or two. The cost associated with these batteries are horrible considering the frequency they need to be replaced.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT MUCH BETTER THAN THE V28 BATTERIES HAD COUNTLESS PROBLEMS WITH THE OLDER V28 BATTERIES (GOT THOUGH EIGHT!!) CHANGED TO M28, HOPING THE NEWER DESIGN HAD IRONED THE PROBLEMS OF THE V28s (POOR LIFE SPAN, GOT NO WHERE NEAR 1,000 RECHARGES) JUST HAD ONE OF MY M28s REPLACED, IT WAS 17 MONTHS OLD AND STOPPED CHARGING, SENT AWAY TO AN AGENT AND THEY SAID THE PCB HAD MOISTURE ON IT (NEVER USED IT IN THE RAIN!) REPLACED OUT OF GOODWILL (PHEW!!) SO DONT GET THESE BATTERIES ANYWHERE NEAR DAMP OR MOISTURE, AT THE PRICE THEY ARE, YOU WOULD THING THEY WOULD BE WATERPROOF LET ALONE WATER RESISTANT

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Milwaukee Batteries = High Failure Rate Milwaukee batteries and warranties are junk. Very high failure rate, nearly 50%. Stay away, I'm selling off ALL my Milwaukee cordless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very high power The power is awesome but under hard condition the runtime isn"t so good. Maybe Milwaukee should produce a 28V battery with 4Amp.
